Amanda Palmer Instagram – Happy Sunday All.
Me and my boy in Harvard Square at @thehourly02138 with Brendon and Geeta. Old friends. New eras. Old bricks. New patterns. Old habits. New hearts. Old glasses. New eyes.
It’s spring and the pink blossoms are exploding and falling on the bricks, melting into time. Some things are so short. These blossoms.
We have had a season (or two, or three, or fourteen?) of loss, but the remnants of loss are so precious, so fragile, so delicious. Lilies and coffins. Sandwiches and urns.
Much of the day was spent explaining real estate, Harvard, forces of good and evil, education, money, protests, and war. Ash is wide open. His heart is filling with power. I love this.
I love having an eight year old. It really did go so fast.
I have been more inspired to write than ever before, and want to take to my desk this week to write about Star Wars, the myths children need in order to survive the relentless darkness of intergenerational trauma, and….lots of stuff. So many beautiful threads to connect in my little heart and head. I’ll publish, if I write, on the substack and cross-post to the patrons as usual.
I am feeling so…loved. So secure, for the first time in a long time. And feeling so much love for all of you. This fragile season. May we all flourish. Wherever this finds you, I hope you’re feeling the cracks of light hitting your face, as I am.
Happy spring. 🌱🎉
