The grounds were beautiful, the sushi and service at GatsuGatsu was delicious, and our heart pool suite thoroughly lovely.
The water was so pristine, @JasonDirden and I basically snorkeled standing up. We didnβt even need the equipment! All you have to do is be still and look down to be surrounded by beautiful (nosey) fish.
β¦The pelican, however, was having none of me!π
We got to bike ride and shuffle board. We got to night swim and day swim and work out in their fully appointed gym. So often resort gyms do the absolute least, but this one had everything we needed (and wanted) to keep it all together on a vacation with EIGHT restaurants, 13 bars, and 3 food trucks on site!
When we needed to toodle around off site, we had use of their fleet of MiniCoopers. Who knew?!?
We also got to hear the most extraordinary rendition of OutKastβs Caroline, during karaoke! π€EXTRAORDINARY
The care we were shown by Vanessa (Sandals Royal Curaçao weddings/special events manager), personal butlers Tavoy and Khani, adult beverage mixtress Alana, Stefany and the kind staff of all the restaurants, and Vanessa LeRouge (director of Sandals romance marketing initiatives) was above and beyond.
We couldnβt possibly do everything available to us – and thatβs why we need to go back!

We canβt do what we do without them.
You canβt have entertainment like this most recent season of #Succession without these minds and this craft. You couldnβt have had the laughter and relief #TedLasso gave during the active months of pandemic quarantine.
I wouldnβt have had the gift of the words I got to speak as Regina in #MAID, or as Jukebox in #POWER,
or, or, or.
There is no computer generated replacement that can give you the lived experiences they do.
And yet they are expected to create while not knowing who will take care of their kids, or how they can afford to go to the doctor, or if they will be compensated (sometimes at all) for work theyβve done.
This is not a safe environment. This is not a fair environment. This is not equitable or acceptable.
This is hard for all of us, and yet I stand with the #wgastrike, and I vote β YES to authorize @sagaftra to strike.
People deserve a living wage.
Actors deserve the safety of knowing AI wonβt be taking the place of our images or our voices.
We all know that βnew mediaβ is no longer NEW, and changes must be made in compensation.
