Yesterday’s Yakshagana performance at Kollur Kshetra Mahathme was a heartfelt return to my childhood passion. Since fourth grade, Yakshagana has been a significant part of my life, shaping my identity and fostering a deep connection to tradition. Despite relocating to Bangalore for work, I eagerly anticipate the annual mela, where I humbly seek a role to rekindle my connection with this vibrant art form. Stepping onto the stage, I felt a rush of emotions, a blend of excitement and reverence. The performance was a poignant reminder of the timeless beauty and profound impact of Yakshagana, transcending distance and time.
