Here’s a super fun throw back! I was in high school when i started my first band. It was actually a “spite” band because I had auditioned for the school talent show with some friends and since we weren’t popular, we didn’t get in. I thought, SCREW playing the high school auditorium, let’s play REAL shows. Within 6 months my band, God’s Girlfriend, was booking shows at places like the Ritz in Roseville and the Token Lounge, which is where I took this picture. My style hasn’t changed much has it 🤣🤣Except we have better flat irons thirty years later 😂😂

When someone you love is grieving it’s hard to know what to say or how to help. Sometimes we use statements with the best intentions that are actually harmful to the grieving process. Truth is, we don’t have to have the perfect words. Sometimes just sitting with someone in silence can be more supportive than words.
Also a gentle reminder that though grieving people DO want the support, they will generally not ask for it so saying call me if you need me may not be helpful. It’s better to take the initiative and help out however you can. For example you can bring over groceries or premade meals, do some light housework, pick up kids from school and so on. These types of things can be extremely helpful for a person struggling just to make it through their day. Drop your questions about grief in the comments below. Talking about final disposition can be extremely powerful and a great icebreaker for the harder conversations surrounding death and dying.

Wondering when to use @biotiteskin? You can use our serum all by itself or as part of your daily routine. In the winter (The wind and cold in Chicago makes me so sensitive 😡) I use my ISDIN vitamin C, Skinbetter trio moisturizer and then Biotite to seal it all in with an extra layer of moisture.
