Christina Pascucci Instagram – Two frontrunners in this race are playing political games with our future. When will we say enough is enough?
On CNN yesterday, I was asked about California’s jungle primary system. This means that on the March 5th primary, the top two vote getters move onto November, regardless of party, instead of there being separate primaries for each party.
Because two Democrats could potentially advance to November, the Democratic frontrunners are playing a lot of games to manipulate voters and the outcome of this race.
Schiff is elevating Garvey in his ads because he wants Garvey to be top 2 with him, because Schiff knows he will beat a Republican in a statewide race come November (this is why a vote for Garvey now in the primary is ultimately a vote for Schiff).
Porter, after calling out Schiff for his behavior, is now doing the same thing. She is elevating another Republican in her ads, in hopes he will take away votes from Garvey and therefore help Porter secure the #2 spot.
