Damaris Phillips Instagram – Would these be a hit at your next party or potluck??? I’m making them this week for #derby

Gyro Cheesesteak Roll

Ingredients:
8 ounces precooked gyro meat, thinly sliced
1 package (about 8 ounces) frozen grilled onion and pepper blend
5-6 slices provolone cheese
4 slices American cheese
1 package crescent roll sheets
2-4 tablespoons Mayo
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Roll out the crescent roll sheet on a baking sheet. Spread the mayonnaise evenly on the dough. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Layer the slices of gyro meat evenly over the crescent roll sheet, leaving a small border around the edges.
onion and pepper blend over the gyro meat.
Lay slices of provolone and American cheese over the vegetables.
Carefully roll the crescent sheet, enclosing the filling, and seal the edges.
Bake in the preheated oven until the roll is golden brown, and the cheese is melted, about 30-35 minutes.
Allow it to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!!!!
Damaris Phillips Instagram – You can also bake this in a bundt pan for a more traditional coffee cake look, but I love baking it in loaf pans so I have one to keep and one to gift!
Cinnamon Roll Cake
Ingredients:
1 box cake mix (yellow, white, or spiced)
1/4 cup AP flour
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream or yogurt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
Pan spray
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk

Method:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray two loaf pans and set aside.

In a large bowl add the cake mix, flour, eggs, sour cream, oil and water and mix until combined. Divide evenly between the loaf pans.

In a different bowl combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on the top of the unbaked batter and use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the mixture into the cake. Bake until the center is set and the top is golden and crispy, about 40-45 minutes.

Meanwhile make the icing by combining the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

Remove from the oven and cool for 20 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and drizzle with 1/2 the icing for each loaf. If you want it to be real pretty drizzle on half while it’s warm, let it cool and then drizzle on the rest… not necessary but it does make it cuter!
