Dehenna Davison Instagram – Whizzed back from Paris this morning and made it into the office before the House began sitting for the day. Currently at my desk working on my One Punch Manslaughter campaign.
I have submitted an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill to create a dedicated offence of “One Punch Manslaughter” with an increased sentence for offenders. At present, the average sentence is only around four years, which feels painfully unfair to all the families left without their loved one due to this violent act.
I have a meeting with the Minister this evening, so hopefully we can agree to make this vital change on Wednesday when the Bill returns to the Commons. | Posted on 13/May/2024 21:03:17
