Diana Nyad Instagram – In my old home town Ft Lauderdale for an honor tonight (more on that later). This morning standing on the precise beach where, at age 9, looked out at this very horizon and first imagined swimming all the way from Cuba to FL. Please don’t think me a braggart for saying so but I still feel what grit it took to stand here and be bold enough to think I could swim non-stop for these 110 miles. Annette and Jodie nominated for SAG awards tonight, for their powerful performances of that very grit that Bonnie and I embody.
