Diana Nyad Instagram – Several of you asked if people recognized me and Bonnie while we were in Italy. Actually, quite a few. The funniest was on our flight back from Rome. My book fell from my lap. I leaned down very close next to the woman in front of me, so as not to startle her, to ask her to retrieve my book. Our faces were just a couple of inches apart. She was in fact startled and whispered, incredulously, “Are you Diana NYAD?” We both had a good laugh. But there was a hero I recognized while traveling and was thrilled to meet him. Noah Galloway lost both his left arm and leg in Iraq and has turned to extreme fitness and inspiring. His mantra: “No Excuses”.
