Last October we launched our hyperlocal colouring books @colouryourstreets in our neighbourhoods of South London – Colour In Brixton, Colour in Herne Hill and Colour In Dulwich – after trying to explain a few local sights near our home to our 6 year old son. We found taking photos of these sights and letting him scrawl all over them, on our phones and then taking on printed versions he could colour in, led to much better conversations. Colour Your Streets was born and we have now covered more than 55 areas.
But the streets you grew up running around will always be very close to your heart – which is why I am so proud and excited to be bringing our first out of London book, “Colour In… Manchester”, to the great city itself, for what promises to be a lovely colouring sess in the city centre tomorrow… to tie with with the colourful and wonderful @mcrflowerfest – more details to be shared in the morning…. (We also have colouring books of #liverpool #leeds #sheffield #birmingham #cardiff #bristol #oxford #york and many more – with lots of others brewing like a good tea… )
But first – we are going out out. The kids are in London. We are not. That’s after I’ve shaken off the pendolino nausea. Natch.
