Gabbi Tuft Instagram – Even I was fooled. 🙈 – This just shows that we never know exactly what we’re ingesting. – At first glance, these protein shakes looked great and even tasted really good BUT a violation of California’s Prop 65 for high lead content, by Owyn, was brought to my attention by a comment on one of my lives. – The ERC brought action against Owyn in Jan 2020 and they were fined approx $200,000 and annual testing was required for a minimum of 5 years. – https://oag.ca.gov/system/files/prop65/settlements/2020-00042S9334.pdf – Owyn is permanently banned from distributing products in California IF their products exceed the daily safe exposure levels of lead or and/cadmium UNLESS they place a Prop 65 warning on their labels…AND THE WARNINGS ARE STILL THERE (Section 3.1 of the settlement). – After an exhaustive search, I was unable to locate a statement of corrective action from Owyn, any statement from Owyn that addresses this settlement, or any publishing of their current lead levels. – If there is evidence of corrective action that shows compliance, and it can be located, I’m happy to create another video showing this. – Prop 65 is VERY stringent on these heavy metals and only applies to California. – The choice is yours. – Happy shopping! – Over 2000 clients of success in the last 14 years. – Details in my profile for my one on one fitness and nutrition coaching – Or go to coach gabbi.com. – Happy shopping! – Not a paid partnership…with anyone – ever. – #healthy #healthyfood #nutrition
