In Spring 2022, with the help of @AnneFrankLA, the LA City Council adopted a resolution declaring May 12th (Otto Frank’s birthday) the official #AnneFrankDay in the @cityoflosangeles.
@AnneFrankLA creates innovative educational and cultural programs and events that further the legacy of Anne Frank in Los Angeles County. This month, to honor Anne’s story, her father Otto, and the nearly 1.5 million children who perished during the Holocaust, they are sponsoring a month-long series of Anne Frank Day events.
The Anne Frank Day “Your Story Matters” Contest calls for SoCal teens 13-16 to enter the contest by Friday, May 5 and share how Anne Frank has influenced their lives. Details available at the link in @AnneFrankLA’s bio.
In partnership with the @lapubliclibrary, Anne Frank LA is hosting the Anne Frank-A History for Today international traveling exhibit from May 1 to May 31 at the Central Library. AFLA presents this exhibit in association with the @annefrankhouse_official, Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina, Anne Frank Center USA, and the @AnneFrankFonds, Basel, Switzerland.
