Jamie Otis Instagram – WE MADE IT TO THE SECOND TRIMESTER! All 3 of us!😭🤰👶👶🩷🎉 I’ve been holding my breath the whole first trimester praying both babies stay healthy and strong – and they are!🙏🥹🩷💙 With twins it’s not uncommon for losses to happen to one baby (or both) and typically it happens in the first trimester. I WAS HOLDING MY BREATH THE WHOLE TIME!🙏 But we made it through!🙏😭👏 It’s not lost on me that anything can happen still. .. I lost our first son at 17 weeks (rip sweet Johnathan👼💙) so I’m fully aware it can happen at any point. But I have been *praying* and *believing* that these babies have been sent down from heaven by their big brother and God & we will get to bring them both home.🙏🙏🙏 A lot of people ask me how I stay so positive after several losses and trying to conceive for so long… truthfully, I have my days where I struggle to stay optimistic. I let fear creep in. I’m only human.🤪 But the truth of the matter is it is out of my control. I’ve learned to pray and trust that everything is happening for a reason.🙏 I started meditating daily & filling my mind with positive thoughts rather than all the fear-based thoughts. It truly helped me.💯 If you’re still trying to conceive and you really believe you’re meant to be a mommy to a child, don’t give up hope.🙏 It really can happen against all odds. I’m living proof of that.🩷🩷🩷 I can’t wait to see my kiddos hit that piñata this weekend and find out what baby #2 is!🎉 In 5-6 months these babies will be coming home and we still have to convert our office into a nursery and get alllll the things babies need for them.🤪 I haven’t bought one baby item yet bc I was so scared & sick that first trimester that I just focused on keeping them healthy inside me.🙏 Now that we’ve made it through I need to start getting ready to BRING THEM HOME.
