I was so sick our first gender reveal.🤢 When we realized our first baby was a boy and we’d need to still find out our second twin’s gender from blood test I figured I’d better keep the second gender reveal small and simple with just our immediate family just in case I’m sick again.🤪
And wouldn’t ya know – I felt SO GOOD for that second gender reveal!😆 Go figure!😅

My daughter has her last week of school for the year next week (feels so early, right?!?) Her teacher planned a cool themed camping week. She needed certain outfits we don’t own so we went to goodwill and bought her the outfits and then tarjaaayyy💁🏼♀️ (better known as target😜) to get whatever goodwill didn’t have.🙌
Retail therapy is def more expensive than a good therapist bc my therapist doesn’t cost as much as we just spent at goodwill and target!🤪
BUT I got all four of my kiddos their very first matching outfits (on sale!) soooo it’s worth it😜🤣
I will always show up here honest and authentic.💯 I hope by me sharing my truth it genuinely helps bc it isn’t always easy to be so vulnerable. Pregnancy hormones def got the best of me yesterday🤪 I cried & ate Rexy’s bday cake all day😅 I just want the best for my children.💯 I want ALL of our family to *want* to be in their lives.🙏 …but people are busy and it’s nothing personal.
We all go through seasons where we can be stressed or overwhelmed…we’ve allll forgotten a bday here and there. There should always be grace for that. That was the straw that broke my back, but that wasn’t what hurt the most yesterday…
What really hurt my heart was the realization that the same people who we love so much & we so desperately want to be in their lives just don’t feel the same about us – they don’t go out of their way to stay in touch unless its convenient for them.
My therapist showed me this about our family dynamics years ago. I’ll never forget what she said .. “they’re not your people” .. that was the first time I realized family may not be “my people”🤯 … and IT’S OK!👌
But it wasn’t ok for me. I didn’t want to believe it. I kept working towards trying to stay close.🙏
I’ve wanted family so bad! The one thing I told the experts way back when I got married at first sight was that I want to be married into a big, loving, accepting family.
But people are busy and they have different priorities and needs. And even family who you love can be jealous of you or constantly find your faults & not like you. (Why does that hurt so bad?)😭
Seems like common sense but therapy has helped me learn that you can’t force people-not even family-into loving you🤦🏼♀️🤪
It’s helped me recognize when people are trying and when they’re not-and to place boundaries with those who just aren’t-no matter how much you love them and want them to WANT to be in your life too.
I’ve really started setting boundaries & I’ve lost people bc of it. Birthdays and holidays are hard bc it’s a huge reminder of the loss of the people you love who are still living but don’t care to do life with you.
If you’re in this boat too – you’re not alone.🙏 I’m sorry bc I know it hurts😕 let yourself cry but then go out and find “your people” and do life with them. There are people out there who can’t wait to be part of your “family”🥰
I wasn’t going to share this here bc honestly, it’s embarrassing. But I promised to always be real with you & I always will be.💯
Pregnancy hormones are raging.🤪 But it really hurts to feel rejected from people who you love and care for so much (especially when it’s your child they forget or just choose not to involve themselves with over and over again), but it’s a good reminder to focus on the people who do want to be in your life and who do love and celebrate with you.🙏💕
If you have this type of situation with family or long time “friends” I hope you know you aren’t alone.🙏 It hurts, but lean in on the people who *want* to be around you and your kiddos. Fill them up with love & support and pour into them. And when they pour back into you that’s when you know they’re your people.🩵
Happy fourth birthday to this sweet boy who has my whole heart wrapped around his little finger.🩵 Hendrix always picks me flowers, gives me kisses & the most snuggly hugs!🥰 He is the first to think of others and offer to help when someone else is feeling sad. If he gets something for himself he always makes sure he saves some for his big sister!🥹🙏
I can’t help but wonder about his big brother in heaven. Before Hendrix came I used to wonder what our oldest son Johnathan would be like…Now I know he’d be the sweetest, kindest, most gentle soul if he’s anything like his lil bro. If he were here with us I could see them running around together climbing trees, rescuing bugs and playing with cars & dinosaurs!🥰
Hendrix, I’m so proud to be your mommy! I’m 15 weeks pregnant now & according to my pregnancy app, these baby boys are the size of two avocados 🥑 🥑, they’ve begun practicing breathing 🥹, & their little legs are longer than their arms now.☺️
Also, according to my app the nausea should go away now – but I literally threw up yesterday soooo 🤷🏼♀️
My doc told me not to be surprised if it doesn’t go away at all with twins 😱 and every mama I know who carried twins has said it was a ROUGH pregnancy … 🤪
But I’ve gotta tell ya, I think I am feeling their little kick flutters already!🥹🤰👶👶 And when I roll onto my back while sleeping and put my hand on my tummy I can now *feel* the roundness of my little baby bump.🙏🥹

I’ve never thought itd be two boys or identical until recently. At first I really thought for sure they’d be girls. Then after our first gender reveal & it was a boy I thought maybe there’s one of each in there🤔..but when I asked my regular ob doc to keep it secret from us bc we want to do a second gender reveal just for the fun of it she said “the high risk doc may have to tell you the gender” ..which I thought was odd bc why would he have to (unless maybe a baby is at risk somehow?)🤷🏼♀️ But she told me both babies looked great!🙏🩷
Then when I was at the high risk doc getting the ultrasound (both babies look GREAT, btw🙏) the ultrasound technician said “fraternal twins don’t need as much monitoring typically, but identical we see more frequently…we probably won’t see you again til your 20 week scan” so I kinda assumed they were fraternal. (Both babies have their own sac and it isn’t certain they have their own placenta yet but it seems to be they do-this usually indicates fraternal twins but there is a small chance they could still be identical & you’d only know via blood test.)
Then I saw the high risk doc. He said “I want to see you back in 1 month and I’ll be seeing you every month” ..so now I’m kinda thinking they may be identical????👶👶 And maybe boys since the first reveal was a boy?!?🤷🏼♀️
The plot has thickened and we’ve never had more fun and more anticipation for a gender reveal!!! Life’s too short not to have fun & aside from the bump scare in the beginning & throwing up more than ever🤪 this has been such a *fun pregnancy*🤰

With twins it’s not uncommon for losses to happen to one baby (or both) and typically it happens in the first trimester. I WAS HOLDING MY BREATH THE WHOLE TIME!🙏 But we made it through!🙏😭👏
It’s not lost on me that anything can happen still. .. I lost our first son at 17 weeks (rip sweet Johnathan👼💙) so I’m fully aware it can happen at any point. But I have been *praying* and *believing* that these babies have been sent down from heaven by their big brother and God & we will get to bring them both home.🙏🙏🙏
A lot of people ask me how I stay so positive after several losses and trying to conceive for so long… truthfully, I have my days where I struggle to stay optimistic. I let fear creep in. I’m only human.🤪 But the truth of the matter is it is out of my control. I’ve learned to pray and trust that everything is happening for a reason.🙏 I started meditating daily & filling my mind with positive thoughts rather than all the fear-based thoughts. It truly helped me.💯
If you’re still trying to conceive and you really believe you’re meant to be a mommy to a child, don’t give up hope.🙏 It really can happen against all odds. I’m living proof of that.🩷🩷🩷

In 5-6 months these babies will be coming home and we still have to convert our office into a nursery and get alllll the things babies need for them.🤪
I haven’t bought one baby item yet bc I was so scared & sick that first trimester that I just focused on keeping them healthy inside me.🙏
Now that we’ve made it through I need to start getting ready to BRING THEM HOME. Ahhh, that seems so surreal to me! It’s really happening!!! 🥹🤰👶👶🩷💙
