Jamie Otis Instagram – Pregnancy hormones def got the best of me yesterday🤪 I cried & ate Rexy’s bday cake all day😅 I just want the best for my children.💯 I want ALL of our family to *want* to be in their lives.🙏 …but people are busy and it’s nothing personal. We all go through seasons where we can be stressed or overwhelmed…we’ve allll forgotten a bday here and there. There should always be grace for that. That was the straw that broke my back, but that wasn’t what hurt the most yesterday… What really hurt my heart was the realization that the same people who we love so much & we so desperately want to be in their lives just don’t feel the same about us – they don’t go out of their way to stay in touch unless its convenient for them. My therapist showed me this about our family dynamics years ago. I’ll never forget what she said .. “they’re not your people” .. that was the first time I realized family may not be “my people”🤯 … and IT’S OK!👌 But it wasn’t ok for me. I didn’t want to believe it. I kept working towards trying to stay close.🙏 I’ve wanted family so bad! The one thing I told the experts way back when I got married at first sight was that I want to be married into a big, loving, accepting family. But people are busy and they have different priorities and needs. And even family who you love can be jealous of you or constantly find your faults & not like you. (Why does that hurt so bad?)😭 Seems like common sense but therapy has helped me learn that you can’t force people-not even family-into loving you🤦🏼‍♀️🤪 It’s helped me recognize when people are trying and when they’re not-and to place boundaries with those who just aren’t-no matter how much you love them and want them to WANT to be in your life too. I’ve really started setting boundaries & I’ve lost people bc of it. Birthdays and holidays are hard bc it’s a huge reminder of the loss of the people you love who are still living but don’t care to do life with you. If you’re in this boat too – you’re not alone.🙏 I’m sorry bc I know it hurts😕 let yourself cry but then go out and find “your people” and do life with them. There are people out there who can’t wait to be part of your “family”🥰
Jamie Otis Instagram – CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!🥹 BOTH TWINS ARE BOYS!!👶💙👶💙 This mommy and daddy officially have 1 little princess and 3 sweet boys to raise and I couldn’t be happier!!!🙏🤰🎉🥰 Not gonna lie, when Doug ripped open that piñata I couldn’t hide my SHOCK if I tried!😆 TWO BOYS?!!! I thought for sure there was a girl in my belly given how I’ve been feeling!🤰🤪😆 Turns out, twin boys can steal your beauty and keep you sick too!😜 Doug was just as shocked as me bc he really thought our second twin baby was a girl too!😆 If you watched with us live or on our YouTube vid then you KNOW bc you can see it all over our faces!😂 If you missed it, don’t worry! We shared the whole SURPRISING moment when we found out we are “double dick’n” (joke on the vid🤣) with TWIN BOYS on our YouTube page Hanging With The Hehners – I’ve got it linked in my bio and on my stories for ya to find easily!💙 The first thought that popped into my mind after finding out they’re both boys is “could they be identical?!?”👀🤷🏼‍♀️ This twin pregnancy has truly been the most fun (aside from the nausea and fatigue🤪) We are just *LOVING* all the surprises that have been coming along with it!🥰 THANK YOU FOR HAVING FUN WITH US AND FOLLOWING ALONG OUR JOURNEY!🤗 We went from ttc and getting negative pregnancy test after negative test to now having a healthy TWIN pregnancy.🤰 Like, what are the chances?!?🤯🙏🩷 GOD IS GOOD! We are celebrating every single second of it and thanking God every single day!💯 THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS, ENCOURAGEMENT & LOVE YOU KEEP SENDING OUR WAY! We appreciate it & WE LOVE YOU🫶🏻 I have not bought anything for these boys (I didn’t talk about it bc I didn’t want to put in universe, but I was def was scared to lose one or both in 1st trimester) But we are 15 weeks today & all is going GREAT so it’s time to start preparing!🤗 I haven’t had a baby in 4 years-both my kiddos are out of diapers so moms please sound off what I should be buying! Baby stuff changes so fast!🤪 I don’t even know the best stuff anymore. I gotta start prepping for these precious baby boys that are literally a gift from God and their big brother in heaven!🙏🥹💙💙
