Jamie Otis Instagram – Married a complete stranger & ten years later we’re still married with two beautiful children and TWINS on the way!🙏🤰🩷🎉 The scariest decision of my life turned out to be the BEST decision of my life.👰🙏🤵‍♂️ Marrying a complete stranger on a new reality show called married at first sight wasn’t exactly a childhood dream of mine🤪😆 but I knew in my gut that just *maybe* it could lead me to my happily ever after🤞❤️ Ten years & two beautiful children later (with two on the way🤰) I couldn’t be more thankful for the life we have built together.🥰 I’m also so darn proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and taking a big risk on a guy who was also willing to take that same big risk on me.🙏😍❤️ I never knew what it was like to do life over the long haul with someone. I never knew my dad. And I saw my mom get in awful relationships where she’d either be physically or emotionally abused (a lot of times both)! I didn’t trust men. My mom always told me most men only wanted one thing, “They’ll love you and leave you!” I watched it happen to her over and over again so I knew she wasn’t wrong. …but then married at first sight came calling saying they had relationship experts who would help you find your scientific “perfect” pair and then help you in your relationship along the way. My thought was “this sounds too good to be true.”👀 I decided to go for it and really try to give it my all. I’m so thankful @doughehner went for it and gave it his all too. Because it takes two to make a marriage work.🙏🩷 If you’re worried about taking a big risk (ok, maybe not marrying a complete stranger 🤣) but any big risk and you know you want it but you’re scared of the process or outcome – JUST GO FOR IT!👏 The best thing will be that you get closer to your dreams – the worst is that you’ll learn something while trying. Life’s way too short not to bet on yourself and take big chances!
