Jane Goodall Instagram – Earth Month is almost over β but you can keep your eco-friendly efforts going!
As Jane says: “Every day we interact with other people, animals, and the environment. And each day, we have opportunities to help another being on the Earth we all share.” With that in mind, consider becoming a guardian for a native species π±πͺ²π€
A native species is one that is indigenous to a given region or ecosystem, and occurs naturally in the area. Once you know about native species in your area, you can better protect them. Here’s some inspiration:
π Make a bee bath to help hydrate your local pollinators (don’t forget to refresh the water daily!)
π² Work with a local nursery to plant a native tree. Jane always recommends kissing the tree before you plant it!
π‘ Create a backyard wildlife refuge, like a pinecone bird feeder or a toad abode
