Despite the disorienting effects of sedation wearing off mid-transport, Pikin, a juvenile lowland gorilla, remains serene, calmly observing her surroundings before nestling back into the reassuring embrace of her caretaker, Appolinaire Ndohoudo. The trust and affection between her and Ndohoudo became a sanctuary of peace amidst the unfamiliarity, exemplifying the profound impact of such relationships on both humans and animals alike.
