We’ve spent decades researching wild chimpanzees and supporting conservation efforts in Gombe, so we’ve gotten to know its avian residents well along the way. Here are a few of the usual suspects: 🪶 The Pygmy Kingfisher meticulously preening its vibrant plumage 🪶 European Bee Eater scarfs down an afternoon snack 🪶 The elusive Black Cuckoo nestled beneath the cascading waters of the falls amidst the mist and spray 🪶 The Goliath Heron wading along Gombe’s shoreline in search of a next meal. These moments capture the beauty and diversity of Gombe’s birdlife.
