They also lend a helping hand (er, wing?) to our community-led conservation efforts! To decrease reliance on activities like the wild meat trade, JGI supports sustainable, alternative livelihoods that help people and their environment. Beekeeping is one such livelihood, with JGI staff at @janegoodallinstitute_tanzania , @janegoodall_ug , and JGI – Republic of the Congo providing training and equipment in local communities. With these resources, community members can support themselves, their families, and their communities in a way that maintains the local ecosystem!
