Jane Goodall Instagram – 🌿 *On the Road with Jane – Welcoming Baby Gorilla GAIA* 🦍

In an unforgettable moment at Prague Zoo (@zoopraha)Jane had the privilege of naming their newest gorilla baby, Gaia. Born in the zoo’s brand new gorilla enclosure, Gaia represents a beacon of hope for conservation. With gorillas facing dire threats in the wild, Prague Zoo’s successful captive breeding program stands as a testament to their commitment to safeguarding these majestic creatures. 🌱

Not only has the zoo welcomed Gaia, but also a charming baby orangutan and Siska, the delightful newborn pangolin.

Join us in celebrating these precious new lives that, just in the spirit of Jane, represent hope for endangered species! 🐾

Jane Goodall Instagram – 🐝 Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

Bees may be small, but they play a large role in keeping ecosystems running through pollination. They also lend a helping hand (er, wing?) to our community-led conservation efforts!

To decrease reliance on activities like the wild meat trade, JGI supports sustainable, alternative livelihoods that help people and their environment. Beekeeping is one such livelihood, with JGI staff at @janegoodallinstitute_tanzania , @janegoodall_ug , and JGI – Republic of the Congo providing training and equipment in local communities.

With these resources, community members can support themselves, their families, and their communities in a way that maintains the local ecosystem! Learn more about alternative livelihoods β€” LINK IN BIO
