We share the highs, lows, the aches, the pains and the emotional rollercoaster of being a part of such an iconic event. πŸ’™ 50,000 runners took to the streets on Sunday April 21st and many of them were fundraising for a cause close to their heart. Josh was one of them. In this episode, Josh shares his reason to run for The Samaritans. It’s heartbreaking to learn that someone you know has been struggling without you even realising and it shows that you never really know what demons others are battling, even if things look rosy on the outside. *Trigger warning, this episode contains content about suicide. Thank you Josh for sharing this important message. Also huge congratulations on your achievement on Sunday, and for raising so much awareness for such an important cause. Whatever you’re going through, if you need to reach out to talk to someone, you can call The Samaritans any time, from any phone for FREE. They won’t judge. They won’t tell you what to do. But they will listen. πŸ“ž Call 116 123. You can download #RunPod wherever you get your podcasts. πŸ’™ #runpod #runpodrunclub #londonmarathon #samaritans

We all love a success story, and this one is amazing… 🀩

Anya Culling was once a regular runner who like many, got annoyed with the effort of running and ran the London marathon to raise money for a good cause.

Then she ran more in lockdown, a bit further, and a lot faster and now is one of Britain’s best distance runners. Anya’s journey from novice runner to one of the fastest female marathoner in the UK is nothing short of incredible.

From completing her first London Marathon in 4 hours and 34 minutes to achieving an astonishing time of 2 hours and 34 minutes for her second, Anya’s journey is about the power of persistence, passion, and joyful dedication.Β

Anya’s story is living proof of the transformative power of running and shows how β€œordinary” people possess extraordinary potential.Β What started as a way to improve her mental health during lockdown quickly turned into a passion that would propel her to the elite ranks.Β πŸ’™

Her secret to success? Prioritise the enjoyment of every run. πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Oh, and did you know she’s a massive RunPod fan!!!!! 😊
Get ready to be motivated, uplifted, and inspired by the incredible journey of Anya Culling. πŸ’™

Listen to RunPod wherever you get your podcasts. Happy running. 😘
