Kelsey Bascom Instagram – Can we take a minute to talk about how there’s a new blood test that can tell you if you’ll ever have Type 1 diabetes in your lifetime?
This is amazing news, and it’s so so important to get tested, because 90% of people with t1d have no family history (including me) and half of the cases of t1d are now getting diagnosed later in life as adults.
The good news is that if you catch it early enough, there’s also a new FDA approved treatment that can delay the onset of type 1 diabetes.
Spread awareness about the signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes, and please please go get screened — it’s free. Tell your loved ones. Tell everyone. Go get tested!
