And… life with diabetes is unpredictable. I could eat and do the exact same things I did yesterday, and my glucose levels could do something completely different today.
Everyday is different, and everything affects glucose levels, and I mean, everything — my mood, hormones, exercise, food, sleep, illness, stress, caffeine, even the weather. Diabetes is always in the back of my mind, and I’m constantly planning, predicting, monitoring and adjusting my insulin doses. It’s a lot… but it’s taught to be in tune with my body and that there’s only so much that’s in my control. Diabetes is always going to have ups and downs, and you just have to go with the flow and do the best you can.
