Larissa Waters Instagram – Today is #IDAHOBIT, the international day marking the fight against LGBTIQA discrimination and the strength of queer solidarity and joy all around the world.
After the last few months of desperate conservatives in our media and politics trying to import culture war hate from overseas – (Councils are banning books on LGBTIQA parenting⁉️) – it’s important that we recognise that while we have come a long way, we still have a long way to go.
Teachers and students at private schools are still afraid of being fired or expelled merely for coming out and our reliance on religious hospitals and support services make it harder for LGBTIQA people to access health, welfare, housing and food.
