This is the best birthday gift ! Wow God. I am in tears. Most of my peers who’ve been in this business as long as I have had a great beginning to have this moment early on in their careers. That was not so for me. I have been wanting to headline this theater since my first performance in Chicago in the early 2000’s. We walked around admiring this beautiful city for the first time and I saw this theater and I said outloud pointing at the marquee , “one day I’m gonna have my name up there.” This musical love affair with Chicago took me years to build organically. My first music video “Alright” was filmed here. 24 years later it’s finally happening.

March 2024 Year of “GOOD LIFE”
This has been thee most amazing month of my career. Good Life has only been out 5 weeks. We’ve completed 18 incredible shows with 9 more to go. The response to this project and this tour has been beautiful. All the hard work, ups/downs and sacrifices so worth it. It is the inbetween times that have become my favorite. I think about all the people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, relationships I’m building and where I want to go next. The quiet moments reflecting on my legacy. God’s timing really is the best. It’s the waiting.. you have to consistently learn to master patience. Leading without ego but with higher purpose has been the glue for me. What a month what a year .🙏🏾
