🚀 NEW SEASON & EPISODE LAUNCH Kicking it off with “The Facts of Life… & Other Lessons My Mother Taught Me” I’m not sure how many will get that tongue in cheek reference, but my Mom was on a show in the 80’s called The Facts of Life. Yet, the reason I’m having her as a guest is because she is truly the person who has had the biggest impact on me out of anyone in my life. After clips of me reading some feedback she gave me went viral and hit over two million views the comments were flooded by a request to hear more from her wisdom. Season 2 is all about relationships and she so graciously agreed to come and talk about the mother/child bond & evolution over time! Children’s essence in color schemes 🌈 My siblings and I are all one year a part so instead of giving us labels she came up with color schemes to describe us… My brother: 🚒🦖☀️🥕🚙 Primarily colors What you see is what you get. Bold. Full of life. Me: 🌃🌹🌚🌲👑 Jewel tones Mysterious, dark, deep, and rich when explored. My sister: 💖☘️🍬🦄✨ Fluorescents Soft with pops of effervescent expression. Even at a young age I felt seen, acknowledged, known & loved by that.

We had other plans scheduled for this weekend that we were so excited about. Sadly, they needed to be put on hold and we were left with an empty day with full hearts. So, we pivoted. As the quote on the last slide reminds us, “saltwater” is one of nature’s most healing solvents. A “dayte” by the beach was the perfect setting to celebrate our oceanic love and all its waves of grace. 💞🌊🙏🌴

Been a busy and fun week. We took the Amtrak train from Seattle to Los Angeles and played games the whole way! Got home in time to double date with @tuckercauble and @caylacauble to catch @jerryseinfeld and @jimgaffigan at the @thekiaforum. 😃

Happy Mother’s Day to the best mother I know! Thank you for making me a grandmother. And for giving me the most precious grandbabies. I can’t wait to watch and see how little ones who are loved so well grow into the beautiful humans this planet needs. 💖

No matter what – you will get it wrong as a parent. If you’re super safe & structured… you weren’t permissive of emotions enough If you allowed emotions… you weren’t structured enough There is no way to get it right all the time. It sounds like a downer but it’s actually kind of freeing – we are doing the best we can, and when (not if!) we miss the mark… well, we can acknowledge, apologize, & do better next time.
