Rachel Riley Instagram – A massive well done and thank you to @ozkaterji for staying when most other journalists were fleeing Ukraine and putting together such a powerful documentary film, The Battle For Kyiv. Hard to see the carnage unfold over the first 6 weeks through Oz’s first hand footage and interviews. I hope this film gets distribution so more people are able to see it. When asked in the Q&A how we can help, Oz’s message was to give the Ukrainian people the supplies they need to defend themselves, and if appeased, Putin will not stop at Ukraine’s borders. We’ve had Ukrainian refugee guests living with us since June 2022 and it was particularly poignant to watch this premiere today, as the grandma who lives with us is currently back in Ukraine visiting her son (for the first time in a very long time during his short leave from the army), and her eldest son has just today been called up and had to leave his family.
