Trudie Styler Instagram – It’s #FemaleFilmmakerFriday, and today we’re shining a spotlight on director and screenwriter @mollymarymcglynn for her latest project #FittingInFilm!
Molly’s journey into filmmaking began at Queen’s University, where she majored in Film Studies. She further honed her skills with a graduate certificate from Humber College in Writing & Producing for Television.
Molly’s impressive resume includes notable television credits, such as Workin’ Moms, The Wonder Years, and Grace and Frankie. She also served as the producing director on Season 2 of Bless This Mess. Her debut feature film, Mary Goes Round, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win numerous awards at festivals around the world!
Her latest film, Fitting In, is a coming-of-age traumedy that follows 16-year-old Lindy who is unexpectedly diagnosed with a reproductive condition, MRKH syndrome. The diagnosis upends her plans to have sex, her presumptions about womanhood, her relationship with her mother, and most importantly, herself. Congratulations on your second feature Molly, I can’t wait to see what you do next! | Posted on 30/Mar/2024 01:50:38
