An unforgettable few days in Morocco with dearest friends, basking in the golden light and enjoying the amazing Berber hospitality in Skoura, Ouarzazate. I hitchhiked around Morocco in my late teens and have never forgotten how welcoming and generous the people were. Such a pleasure to return and feel that same warmth and friendship!

Thank you @abercrombiekent & @geoffrey_kent

This is a moving image of His Holiness The Pope washing the feet of 12 women inmates at a Rome prison on Holy Thursday. Jesus makes us understand: ‘I am not here to be served, but to serve.’
On Easter Sunday, The Pope went on to say, “Peace is never made with weapons.”

I’m delighted to learn that my documentary film, Posso Entrare? An Ode to Naples, has been awarded Best Documentary by the Young Jury of the Sudestival film festival in Bari, Italy. They kindly said, ‘[Trudie Styler] manages to convey the warmth and complexity of the city of Naples, which epitomises the art of being reborn through its creative energy’. I love that! Thank you so much, young jury of the Sudestival School!
Today is the first day of spring, but for the people now suffering in Gaza, and for the families of the hostages taken and loved ones lost in Israel, their winter of anguish will continue.
I have been moved by this post by Misan Harriman, photographer, social activist, Oscar-nominated filmmaker and Ambassador for Save the Children, about the pregnant women of Gaza.
Every mother, I’m certain, remembers the anxiety of taking your newborn baby out into the world for the first time. The potential for harm that we imagine in every bump in the road, every loud noise, every car exhaust. So imagine bringing your newborn baby into a war. Knowing that nothing you do will protect them in any way from the danger all around.
As a humanitarian and a compassionate human being, I ask you to please listen to Misan’s words with an open mind, and to call for peace to prevail.
This is not a question of taking political sides. Everyone is losing the war in Gaza.
It’s time to put humanity first. To focus on what connects us all as human beings, not what drives us apart.
And may the onset of spring bring with it some new hope for peace. Read more about how women’s reproductive health is being impacted by the war at the link in bio.
Happy 77th Birthday dearest Elton
Here is a moment from our Rainforest Fundraiser show 2002 where along with Sting and James Taylor you so generously and regularly contributed your precious time and talent. We were joined on stage by the late glorious Nina Simone.
Thank You @eltonjohn
We love you so much
“Pretty in pink with a fresh bouquet in hand. This elegant rosato is juicy and persistent, an animating freshness, and a cheerful soul. Just a cornucopia of fruit: apple, pear, red berries, grapefruit, cantaloupe, even some pineapple and peach notes in there. Beautifully farmed Sangiovese letting its hair down.”
Thank you www.vinoalvino.ca for this joyous description of our New Day! #winewednesday
Taking it in his stride, veteran Anatoily has just received his new prosthetic running foot @superhumans.center the state of the art rehabilitation centre in Lviv, treating men, women and children impacted by the war in Ukraine. The first of its kind, the centre offers treatment to amputees, those in need of reconstructive surgery, and those affected by PTSD.
Without this groundbreaking work Anatoily might not be back on the pitch playing his beloved football again. We are so pleased he is.
Big thanks to everyone at @superhumans.center we love following and sharing your incredible work.

This time 4 years ago, on the set of SILENT NIGHT. We were the last movie in the UK to close down … because of Covid restrictions. For those who know the story, the irony of the timing was not lost on us. Thank you to all the brave actors and crew who kept us going for as long as we possibly could – it meant we had enough to get on with editing over that summer of doom & Zoom. Thank you Director @camigriffindavis for such a fun shoot; Keira Knightly, Matthew Goode, @romangriffindavisofficial and all the cast for your hilarious and moving performances; Celine Rattray and Matthew Vaughn for being the stellar producers that you are;
Ben Davis and Sam Renton for Director of Photography and Cinematography. One day we should release the rather chilling coverage we got of a deserted central London.

This week, to celebrate International Day of Forests, I wanted to highlight this vital project recently supported by the @rainforest_fund. It seeks to protect and preserve rainforests in and around the indigenous territory of Canarana, in the Xingu region of the Amazon. Led by the Kuikuro and Wauja communities, the Association Terra Indigena do Xingu has a fire-fighting brigade with the responsibility of safeguarding 18 villages, all of whom are increasingly threatened by the outbreak of forest fires. Drier seasons, deforestation, agricultural encroachment and climate change have all played their part in raising the risk level of fire and the potential of devastating their territory. This project proposal sought funding to purchase improved fire-fighting equipment and training for the brigade, whose resources are already stretched, to effectively combat these challenges in the rainforest. We look forward to reporting on their incredible work again soon. #internationaldayofforests

It’s #FemaleFilmmakerFriday, and today we’re shining a spotlight on director and screenwriter @mollymarymcglynn for her latest project #FittingInFilm!
Molly’s journey into filmmaking began at Queen’s University, where she majored in Film Studies. She further honed her skills with a graduate certificate from Humber College in Writing & Producing for Television.
Molly’s impressive resume includes notable television credits, such as Workin’ Moms, The Wonder Years, and Grace and Frankie. She also served as the producing director on Season 2 of Bless This Mess. Her debut feature film, Mary Goes Round, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win numerous awards at festivals around the world!
Her latest film, Fitting In, is a coming-of-age traumedy that follows 16-year-old Lindy who is unexpectedly diagnosed with a reproductive condition, MRKH syndrome. The diagnosis upends her plans to have sex, her presumptions about womanhood, her relationship with her mother, and most importantly, herself. Congratulations on your second feature Molly, I can’t wait to see what you do next!
