It’s Foster Care Awareness Month and we want youth to feel loved and celebrated! 02. Many foster youth age out at 18 years old without any family or support when they enter the real world. During this month (and beyond), we want youth to know that there are people in the world that care about them and that they are not alone in the journey of life. BIG thank you to @wendimclendoncovey for taking time to make this possible. She got to sit with Alicia and hear her story of overcoming challenging experiences and persevering to pursue an incredible career and future for herself and her daughter. She is truly a superhero for all that she has done and continues to do daily. We ❤️ you, Alicia, and we are so happy to have you in our CareerX program and the Foster Nation Fam! Alicia shared with us that “after just two weeks in CareerX, my coach and Foster Nation were able to help me get a new car so I could get to work. Outside of just that, they have helped me emotionally, mentally, and financially.
