Yaya DaCosta Instagram – In April, I did a talk for @elevationbarn with my soul brother, Will Travis, while at the TED conference in Vancouver. The conversation was one of those experiences where I could feel healing and clarity taking form with every word that left my lips. I hadn’t had much time to prepare, but sometimes “off the cuff” simply means “in the zone”, and this was one such time. I later attended one of their retreats and I’m still integrating everything I learned and set in motion there! I’m so grateful to be a part of that community. The TED conference itself was a vortex of brilliance, curiosity, creativity, inspiration and urgency. It was heavily dominated by conversations around AI and the opportunities and risks it poses… I met Wanjira, the daughter of one of my sheros, Wangari Maathai, and so many other beautiful souls. I ended the video with a moment from a trip to Universal Studios with family at the end of April, because that’s what the conference was for me. A power up! It stirred up so much in me. I have so much to say, and can’t wait for my turn on the stage… 💫
