I’d like to share a glimpse of my life, but let me start off by expressing my sincere gratitude to Melissa Gecolea from TVB Pearl for her kind coverage of my return to Hong Kong during the Egyptian Food Promotion. It was truly a pleasant surprise to have such attention drawn to my endeavors, where I was merely being a humble representative of the rich culinary heritage of Egypt. It was such a privilege to showcase its authentic flavors, whilst also taking creative liberties of creating some dishes based on the ingredients and livestock that they farmed and raised. To be able to do this at my friends restaurants with the full support of his team and also friends and fellow chef Gaffer is why I do the things I do.
The recognition we received serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and celebrating diverse cultural experiences and the power of food diplomacy.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Melissa Gecolea and TVB Pearl for shining a light on my work. I hope that through this exposure, more people will be inspired to explore different cuisines and embrace the beauty of cultural diversity. Especially Egypt as Egyptians are kind and generous people and we would be very appreciative for foreign currency.
