The number one question/comment I tend to get by being shirtless 24/7 is some variation of
“What do you do for your abs?”
The truth about my abs training (and my gym training in general) is super complicated and involves training for the last 30 years…
BUT on the day to day end of things, this is one of my favorite ab workouts to throw in as a warmup before training or a finishing move after.
I do 27-21-15-9 of each (except for the long plank… I just hold that for a minute)
So that means
27 of each exercise
21 of each
15 of each
9 of each
Then collapse to the floor.
ALSO… this is something I’ve done for a long time in some variation probably 3 or more days a week, plus dancing professionally in shows and sometimes tumbling 8 shows a week as well, so if you feel like it’s too much then maybe just start with 3-4 sets of 10 for each movement and a plank for 20-30 seconds. Start where you are, and just keep going. Eventually you’ll get to where you want to be.
