Nahh, it was a super fun time!
(( Except it made me hate all my history teachers I had in school. They were the worst!! Once i got to live my own life I started to find out, not only how endlessly fascinating history is, but how crucial it is to know and understand.))
@vedrandragovic showed me this RAD place in Croatia where for hundreds of years the people of this region hand dig canals to transport citrus and vegetables to feed adjacent kingdoms and villiages. The canals are still in use. The walls, and fortresses and houses are there in awe inspiring ruin to remaining inhabited, used and in states of restoration all are there.
