Iain Armitage Instagram – Yesterday was a big day for me! I’ve been taking Tae Kwon Do at @jriarlington since I was 4 years old. I’ve always loved it. I homeschool, so this was always a community for me, where I got the experience of following a curriculum with a variety of teachers. When I was 7 and started acting, I was sad that I might have to give up this training, but the school helped us to figure out how I could continue. We’ve been working remotely since way before it was cool! Earning a blackbelt has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The two day exam was so overwhelming, i worried it might defeat me. At my black belt panel exam, I presented an essay called “What Jhoon Rhee Tae Kwon Do Has Done For Me” and the short answer is: so much! I started Tae Kwon Do at such a young age that I really don’t remember life without it. Im so grateful to this school and to all of my instructors. Thank you, Mr Gan, for so many years of instruction. Thank you to Master Pineda, Master Shackleford, Master Rome and Master Hawk for everything- all the years of joy, help, encouragement and inspiration. I love you all and am so grateful to you. Thank you, Grandmaster Rhee, and thank you to your son Master Rhee who continues your teaching. I was so honored when you said that your father would be proud.
