Iain Armitage Instagram – Today I’m feeling grateful for the opportunity to speak about issues I feel passionate about. A few years ago I got to join Grandma @janefonda (she’s not really my grandmother but she played that in a movie we did and i adore her) for her #firedrillfriday events. We gathered, learned, marched and some people even got arrested on the steps of the Capitol, all in support of protecting the earth. This week I was invited inside Congress with @thecreativecoalition to discuss the importance of arts funding. I was so happy to see that our representatives- on both sides of the aisle- were genuinely interested to hear our thoughts. People who weren’t in support of the initiatives we were discussing asked great questions and wanted to understand it better. Over and over again, we were encouraged to keep talking about these issues. So now I’ve been inside and outside of the Capitol, and the view is great from both sides!
