John Daub Instagram – These students I taught would be 35 years old now! I often wonder how my former students from Okazaki 愛知県岡崎市are doing. Teaching English in Japan is the gateway to working here for most English speakers, Americans. I came in ‘98 and taught for 7 years – on and off – backpacking the world between contracts, returning to save up again. 10 years before YouTube! (What a shame 😂) I got to live in 16 different Japanese cities and also see 80 countries as a backpacker during this time.
