Lee Hsien Loong Instagram – Glad to meet His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar (@officialsultanibrahim), Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong, this morning. Today is also a special date for both of us: on this day two years ago, Sultan Ibrahim conferred on me the Dato’ Sri Paduka Mahkota Johor, Johor’s highest honour.
Singapore and Malaysia share a close friendship, underpinned by historical ties and strong relationships between our governments and businesses. In January, PM @anwaribrahim_my and I observed the completion of the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS Link) connecting span and witnessed the signing of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) MOU.
President @tharman.sg will be hosting the Sultan to a State Banquet tonight. Tomorrow Sultan Ibrahim will visit the @parl_sg and and be briefed on how the Thomson-East Coast line connects with the RTS Link. I wish the Sultan a fruitful visit! – LHL
