Lee Hsien Loong Instagram – Sat down for an interview with local media, my last as PM.
So much has changed in the last 20 years since I took my oath of office. Our little red dot has made much progress, still little, but a bit redder. We’ve sailed through tough times and dealt with sensitive issues, and I’m glad that we are forging a more inclusive society and a stronger Singaporean identity.
Some fundamental truths have not changed – we are still a small, vulnerable island, we must remain open to the world, and we have to rely on our wits and determination to survive.
We’ve journeyed this far together as one people, one Singapore. I thank everyone for your contributions. Please continue to give our 4G leaders your fullest support, to take Singapore to greater heights, and create a brighter future for many generations to come.
This is not quite an “exit interview”. I’m stepping down as PM, but will still be serving you as Senior Minister and MP. Might have a bit more time to use my @skillsfuturesg credits to brush up my photography and AI knowhow. 🙂
