I realise there are much bigger things to worry about in the world but… a while ago I shared that my eyebrows had basically disappeared due to alopecia. I received a lot of nice messages, some suggesting I try “microblading”, a form of temporary tattoo. So that’s what I did! It took two sessions of a couple of hours. I’m happy to have my old face back. The new brows are neater and more shapely than my “real” ones were. But there are a couple of wisps of my remaining hair in there which help make them look more natural. Meanwhile more gaps – or “lesions” to use the technical term – have appeared on my scalp. I have photos of those which I may share at some point or I may not – they are a bit weird and depressing to look at tbh. Life goes on. I am happy and healthy in every other way and I feel very grateful.

Some good, clean, wholesome fun. Thanks for patiently sitting in the back of a van, Louis
I’d like to know how I’m supposed to continue a career based largely on raising and lowering different eyebrows WITHOUT ANY EYEBROWS!! #alopecia I’m seriously thinking of getting them tattooed back on but it feels like a big step! Thoughts?
What a privilege it was to have my pecs lightly punched by the incomparable Dame Joan Collins. I can think of no one better qualified to judge the contours of the male physique. And thank you to both Joan and Percy for two eye opening days filming with them at their home in the South of France. 💪 #LouisTherouxInterviews #iPlayer #LouisTheroux #JoanCollins
Happy Friday! To celebrate I made some brownies… Based on a recipe from the BBC goodfood 101 cakes and bakes book. They are delicious!

I made a programme with Pete Doherty, the musician and recovering hellraiser, visiting him at his home in Etretat, in Normandy. It’s the latest instalment of my new #LouisTherouxInterviews series. A lot of emotion, some fun, also some intense soul searching. In this clip we are speaking in his atelier. Very proud of this episode. Please watch it on @bbctwo tonight at 9pm and on @bbciplayer after that.
A little taste of the forthcoming Anthony Joshua episode of #LouisTherouxInterviews. We spent several days together, at the gym he used growing up, in his old manor in Watford, behind the scenes on fight night… He was charming, at times vulnerable, revealing, and very funny. We didn’t “scrap” – I think he was slightly in awe of my punching power and high tempo combinations – but he did offer to promote a fight between me and Piers Morgan. You can watch the episode tonight on @bbctwo at 9pm and after that on @bbciplayer.
Try to remain calm! The BBC was so happy with the first run of the Louis Theroux Interviews that they decided to commission six more episodes featuring entirely new guests! @anthonyjoshua, @ashleywalters, @xychelsea87, @joancollinsdbe, @peterdohertyofficial and @raye. Please join me as I come face to face with these incredible people. See you there! #LouisTherouxInterviews coming soon to @bbciplayer.
NEW @HotOnes episode with @officiallouistheroux 🔥 Find out if he made it through the wings of death NOW 👀 Link in bio.
It was a genuine thrill spending several days with the amazing Raye – including (as you see here) sitting down with her on the set of her video shoot for the Flip A Switch remix with Coi Leray. I’m not sure I really had to define what “prick” means, it speaks for itself, but “Block block mute chat new addy in the sat new d*cks on tap” needed a little more unpacking for the elders. I’d like to think I’m like a human sat nav, giving viewers a smooth ride around the landscape of whatever I’m finding out about. #LouisTherouxInterviews is on @bbctwo tonight at 9pm.
I can’t pretend I’m not excited to play host to movie royalty on this episode of #TheLouisTherouxPodcast, with Sharon Stone joining remotely from her home in Los Angeles for a free-ranging and utterly uncensored chat. Please join us to hear Sharon’s blisteringly honest takes on the mediocrity of Hollywood, the producers Robert Evans and Harvey Weinstein, the pain of not winning an Oscar for Casino, and visiting Robert Mugabe at his palace in Zimbabwe.
Buckle in – because we have the always challenging, frequently outrageous Germaine Greer in the house. The author of the seminal feminist text The Female Eunuch, Germaine is now 85, and she joined #TheLouisTherouxPodcast via Zoom from the care home where she resides in Australia. She has lost none of her power to amuse and to offend: sex, Andrew Tate, WAP, the aging process, and George Best were all discussed.

Another season filled with even more fascinating guests. The Louis Theroux Podcast returns for Season 3 in September.
Please join me for a special end-of-season episode of #TheLouisTherouxPodcast featuring friend of the pod and friend of mine, my pod-mentor, Adam Buxton. A legend of the genre, a brilliantly funny comedian, author, actor, and putter-together of audio bits. Adam was someone I grew up with at school and has been a much loved person in my life across four decades… We discussed music, the culture wars, “problematic artists”. the great reset in 2020, the podcasting landscape and much much else.
