Louis Theroux Instagram - Nature has played a cruel trick on me. Thanks to my alopecia barbae (ā€œof the beardā€) I can now only grow a weird little Hitler moustache. This is what I look like after three days not shaving. I have given up on my beard ever growing back to its luxuriant former glory but is too much to ask for it to ALL fall out instead of having a tiny remnant in a potentially offensive configuration? And now a bald patch has appeared on the back of my head making me wonder if my proper hair-hair might be next to go. In two years or less I may be bald! [sigh] Thankfully thereā€™s always audio and in fact in two days I have a new podcast launching exclusively on Spotify (thereā€™s the plug - no pun intended) - The Louis Theroux Podcast. This is also why I donā€™t wear a beard as much anymore. Maybe itā€™ll grow back. Who knows? It mainly happened over the course of 2022. Louis Theroux Instagram - Alopecia update (try to remain calm!): new bald patches are appearing in my ā€œtop hairā€ (the hair on top of my head) BUT I can now grow a weird straggly and rather sparse white beard. So thatā€™s something. And there are some tiny patches of regrowth on my eyebrow. FWIW Iā€™ve been taking vitamin D, iron, and something called biotin. Is it helping? Who knows?

Louis Theroux Instagram - It was nearly 2 years ago that I appeared on Amelia Dimoldenburgā€˜s chicken shop date and did a 20-year-old rap from an episode of weird weekends. The rap was remixed by a talented Manchester based production duo and then a dance was invented to go with it. It all went viral on TikTok and the rest isnā€™t quite history but it was definitely a weird thing that happened. Now the single of the rap has gone Gold - yes I have a gold record (see picture). I canā€™t quite believe these words even as Iā€™m typing them. Many thanks to all of those who helped along the way and especially @dukeandjones @ameliadimz @jessqualter @brookeblewittt and my co-writers Reese & Bigalow (who I canā€™t seem to find on IG) and of course Mr Red-red Wine @neildiamond . This is what I look like after three days not shaving. I have given up on my beard ever growing back to its luxuriant former glory but is too much to ask for it to ALL fall out instead of having a tiny remnant in a potentially offensive configuration?
