Beatie Edney Instagram – Every Father’s Day is difficult now. For those of us who are fatherless: for those of us who never knew our fathers, whose fathers have died, whose fathers are estranged I am thinking of you. My dad,Alan, died in 2013. I loved him and he loved me. I was certain in his love. He was brilliant, funny, sporty with an encyclopaedic knowledge. I can’t hear Leonard Cohen without thinking of him. He used to play an extraordinary mix of music in the car, when we travelled to Antibes for our holidays. I thought it was because it was his taste, but no he was playing music for us.
