Wow! This is so exciting! I won Best Actress – Feature Film in Palm Springs, California 🎞🎖🎭 Last year, I played the lead role in “Het hart van Hadiah Tromp”. You can see her above. (Swipe) I trained hard… because she was in the Navy, also sang ska songs, and I cut off meters of hair. Sometimes my feed seems all about photography.. I notice many people can’t place the fact that I’m both an actress and a photographer. This mainly applies to people who don’t know me. They assume photography is just a hobby… or vice versa. Or, worst of all, that I no longer want to be an actress. I often feel awkward saying that’s not true… It’s the boxed-in thinking that limits so many beautiful things. Of course, I do have a focus. During the filming of “Het hart van Hadiah”, I didn’t take on any photo jobs. So, I’m not on set with a camera and my Instagram naturally focuses more on photography. I must admit, I take really bad iPhone shots. I hope you do what you want to do and don’t let others limit you because of their opinions. With strength & hard work, you can TRULY do anything you want. And of course, I’m very grateful!

As I am an Amsterdam Art ambassador, I wanted to share with you some highlights from the recent edition of the Open Studios @rijksacademie . Among the diverse array of works you see in this post, I’d love to spotlight the mesmerizing vessels by @aiozaki.works . Absolutely smitten with their stunning craftsmanship and profound meaning. In Ai’s words: ‘I made them to use as vessels for making pickles. They are also urns for bones, burial jars, and vessels for life, including our bodies. When fermentation occurs, the jar becomes a habitat for microorganisms. When making pickles, I put some vegetables and salt into the jar and press them with weight. The water from the vegetables seeps out, and the salty water overflows from its eyes. I remember picking up my grandfather’s bones with chopsticks after the cremation. This is called “Kotsuage”. After that, we had a banquet together, talking about our grandfather and eating with chopsticks. It felt as if the Kotsuage was still going on, and the urn was a part of our body.

Our newest treasure hand-delivered by the artist @atelierderijk yesterday to our new home. What do you think? Living room centerpiece or bedroom charm?
A little late, but here’s my small YPC Gala photodump. Still in moving status but had the most wonderful evening. Merci @nationaleoperaballet for the unforgettable night. Wearing @maxzarasterck

Last night at the annual YPC Gala, a magical celebration of talent and the arts! Thank you @nationaleoperaballet for the beautiful evening and for reminding us to attend the opera and ballet more often. And @maxzarasterck for wearing this stunning outfit.
For a long time, I’ve been adoring the gorgeous shades and hues of @wearewowmakers And with a new house, it’s finally the perfect moment. This paint infuses the space with emotion, adding depth and texture. Together with Anouk, we explored the ideal color combination, taking the floor’s warmth into account. We decided on a blend of Mallorca, St. Tropez, and Odessa. Excited to take you along in this reel to show the amazing effect. WOW paint contains mineral pigments and chalk but has a different composition of raw materials and is thicker than chalk paint. This results in more depth and texture in the finish. The house feels warm and calm at its core, something very important to me in an interior. I also think it’s perfect for a child’s room. What do you think? <3
