Ellie Holcomb Instagram – Y’all. I got home after a wild and wonderful weekend in the north with @lauren_daigle,(great to meet you by the way, if you’re new here to my instagram page!). We got to bed at 1am, got dropped off at the airport in South Dakota from the bus at 4am, then I flew into Memphis to celebrate my neice graduating from high school, and then our nanny, who was in Memphis with my kids, helped us drive back to Nashville later that night. So trying to get all the kids off to school in the morning after just 3.5 hrs of sleep the night before was WILD. We are also prepping to welcome my husband home from the last 3 week run of his tour to celebrate his birthday, and I’m chaperoning my daughter’s zoo field trip today….LIFE IS FULL and wonderful, but as I stopped to remember this verse this morning, something steadied in my frenzied spirit. When I get less sleep, I tend to have less patience, and this morning, I was reminded that as I carry all the things in my life, and drop all the balls ( aka…forgetting my piano lesson this morning and having to apologize to my teacher for this), there is a God who is always for me, and always full of grace and compassion. RICH IN LOVE. This is what I am. This is what you are…on our best , most rested days, and on the exhausted, running on fumes days….we are RICH in LOVE. Thank goodness for this grounding truth, y’all.
