Ellie Holcomb Instagram – I love that this verse happened to surface for me right before Mother’s Day. Shout out to all the mommas out there, loving their babies, to the mommas sending their babies out into the world after graduation for the first time, mommas on their knees praying for the ones they love most, mommas who are tired not sleeping through the night with their babies, and mommas who are on a journey of infertility, longing to love and hold and raise up a precious little one, mommas who foster, mommas who adopt, mommas who mother others through ministry… all of you are beauties. One of the things I love about this verse is that it reminds me that as important every single momma out there is , there is a deep sense of security that any baby we are ever loving comes first from where every good thing comes from, the heart of God, so even though it’s our responsibility to raise and love and teach and guide these precious little ones, God is who carried them first and will carry them always. God is the one who carried YOU first and carries YOU always. God is our hope, our confidence, our strong and steady love that we can always rely on , a LOVE that will bring everyone of us back home one day. It feels like it gives us a reason to SING. So happy mothers day to all the mommas out there who love and care and carry and pray and provide and protect , and cheers to remembering that as we do all of that, the children we care for are carried by the strong , steady love of God, and SO ARE WE.
