Ellie Holcomb Instagram – It’s memory Monday …just barely ! 11:43pm here in Nashville and I spent my morning in the back porch singing with the birds and while the wind whispered and danced with the poplar trees in my back yard . It was a grounding morning , but I got so present and grounded that I totally forgot to post until now ! #goodproblems Thanks for joining me here in this little corner of Instagram as I try to hold onto the beauty and the light . I love that all of us come from where all good things come from, and that each one of us was dreamed up by Love. I hope this beautiful Psalm reminds you that you’ve got a reason to sing , to give thanks , to ever praise the one who brought you forth from your mother’s womb. One of my favorite things about carrying children was that I knew they were being knit together , but I was never actively thinking or telling my body , “Ok, now add the fingernails . Or , it’s time to connect all the ligaments , and don’t forget the nerve endings in the toes . Oh , and don’t forget to add that freckle on their left arm! And the eyebrows, and the chambers in the heart , oh and make the hair a little wavy when it gets humid outside . “ This all just happens, and out comes a little soul carried in a little body that you carried and helped create….sort of . It feels like saying you co-wrote a song because you happened to be in the room when the song was written , but really you just get to tell the story of how the song came to be and how you got to be there while something beautiful was written down that came from the place where all beauty comes from , the creative love of God.
