I am incredibly humbled “Otto by Otto” will play in Documentary Competition at Sydney Film Festival. It’s where I first found my passion as a kid going to the festival and to have had my previous three films there has been so special. This documentary film about my father Barry Otto is my most personal work to date and a huge labour of love a therapeutic experience over an 8 year period but would never be the film it is without the tireless creativity work and support of my team ❤️❤️ 🎥 Producers Cody Greenwood and Nicole O’Donohue, Writer/Editor Karen Johnson I can’t thank you all enough for everything you’ve done and love you all 💫 🥹Archive Producer Lisa Savage, Sound Designer Lawrence Horne, Composer Stefan Gregory, Music Supervisor Andrew Kotatko, head of Post Craig Deeker and all the crew members who worked on this film over many years. A little bit of BTS for Ladies in Black ! :: Ladies in Black, S01 Ep3 some words from our incredible Steadicam/Trinity operator @besservisuals I love the challenge of a one’r shot. A shot that is able to tell the story and flow without a cut, draws you into the world just that little bit more. Gracie (dir) and Simon (dop) had planned the start of Ep3 would offer a great opportunity to show off the beautiful cast, costumes & space in a single take shot. Trinity 2 allowed the camera to flow through the space with the height changes and slightly different angles in an easier way than what we would have been able to do with steadicam alone. A couple of rehearsals to design moments to keep the flow of the picture and 13 takes later, we created something that looks seamless and beautiful and a great mid point to our fun show.
