I love the challenge of a one’r shot. A shot that is able to tell the story and flow without a cut, draws you into the world just that little bit more.
Gracie (dir) and Simon (dop) had planned the start of Ep3 would offer a great opportunity to show off the beautiful cast, costumes & space in a single take shot.
Trinity 2 allowed the camera to flow through the space with the height changes and slightly different angles in an easier way than what we would have been able to do with steadicam alone.
A couple of rehearsals to design moments to keep the flow of the picture and 13 takes later, we created something that looks seamless and beautiful and a great mid point to our fun show.
This one was take 9, and is a raw ungraded shot that matches with the BTS, another take made the Final Cut
