Thank you Inside Out for having us 🏳️🌈I’ve been dreaming of the day I’d walk out on the TIFF Lightbox stage for a Q&A, so that was rather surreal.
The band: Lane, June, Daniel, and Jordan.. the bullies: Nick and Joe.. the gorgeously slimy industry babes: Nicolette and Malik.. then the crew who made our lavish squalor look enviable: Jordan Kennington, Knox, Anna Catley, and the sea of individual artists who make movie magic possible.
And the most important, Nicole Hilliard-Forde. Thank you for not giving up on this project after 10 years of love & effort to bring it alive. It was worth all the hours and hard work you poured into it.
✨Major major shoutout to @spacevintagexo for yet again believing in the vision and helping me create the PERFECT dress. Natasha and Ashlene, you are my fairy god mothers. Your willingness to run with an idea and make things happen is why I keep coming back to work with SV. 💃🏻 Also, thank you @adamxatelier and Kim for talking me out of playing it safe with this dress. I will now be asking “what would Madonna do” every time I’m fighting with my confidence to wear something bold. 🫡
Lastly, Blake & my friends who came out last night.. thank you for picking me up on my bad days and standing tall beside me on my good days. I’d be a wreck without you.
